Responsibilities
- Assist the Director of Nursing (DON) and Assistant DON in overseeing daily nursing operations and ensuring adherence to facility policies and state regulations.
- Mentor and guide nursing personnel to uphold job standards, professional conduct, and best practices.
- Take part in and facilitate government and accreditation surveys to ensure the facility meets or exceeds all requirements.
- Conduct daily rounds to monitor care delivery, address clinical concerns, and drive continuous improvement.
- Investigate and resolve staff complaints and grievances with professionalism and discretion, escalating to the Director of Nursing Services as needed.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
- Active RN license in New York State.
- Current CPR certification.
- 2+ years of experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or a related clinical setting.
- Exceptional clinical assessment, critical-thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communicator who thrives in a multidisciplinary team environment.
