Registered Nurse (RN)

About the role

The Evergreen Center is a private non-profit organization that provides living and learning environments for children and adults diagnosed with developmental disabilities including autism, physical disabilities, neurobehavioral disorders, and other special needs. Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care during scheduled hours of duty at our Central Education Facility.
• Carry out routine health care and first aid procedures.
• Maintain medical records.
• Assess and inform the Director of Health Services of emergency injuries or illnesses.
• Communicate with parents, physicians and service agencies on topics related to the health needs of the students.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Massachusetts RN license.
• Minimum of two (2) years RN experience (preferred).
• Experience working with people who have developmental disabilities (preferred).
• Current malpractice insurance is required.
