About the role
A wellness nurse RN oversees resident health, ensures medication safety, and maintains regulatory compliance in a senior living community.
Responsibilities
- Conduct assessments including move-in, 3-day, semi-annual, and change-of-condition evaluations.
- Perform monthly wellness visits and monitor health trends.
- Follow up on falls, incidents, and hospital returns.
- Transcribe physician orders and ensure accurate MAR/TAR documentation.
- Complete medication audits and oversee medication program compliance.
- Partner with families, physicians, and care staff to promote resident well-being.
- Support infection control and survey readiness.
- Provide clinical guidance and training to care staff to prevent decline through assessment and early intervention.
Qualifications & Skills
- Active RN license in good standing.
- Graduate of an approved nursing program.
- At least 1 year of experience in senior care or clinical settings.
- Strong assessment, regulatory, and communication skills.
