About the Role
Wellspring is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation team in Saginaw. This role focuses on providing skilled, compassionate care that helps older adults live with dignity and comfort, forming lasting connections with residents while collaborating with a supportive team.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care that promotes each resident's physical, emotional, and psychosocial well-being
- Monitor resident conditions through ongoing assessments and observation, identifying changes and ensuring timely interventions
- Communicate effectively with physicians, nursing leadership, therapists, residents, and family members as part of the interdisciplinary care team
- Ensure care plans are followed, concerns are addressed promptly, and critical updates are shared appropriately
- Serve as a clinical leader on the unit by guiding and supporting nursing assistants and other care team members
- Complete thorough clinical documentation, medication administration records, and assessments
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations to support resident safety and organizational excellence
- Participate in infection prevention, fall reduction efforts, medication management, and other quality initiatives
Qualifications
- Current Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) license, required
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Strong clinical judgment and assessment skills
- Commitment to providing compassionate, resident-centered care
- Two years of nursing experience preferred
- Experience in skilled nursing, rehabilitation, long-term care, home health, hospice, medical-surgical, or critical care settings is preferred
- Empathy, professionalism, and a genuine passion for serving older adults
Schedule
- Full-Time, Day Shift (6:00 am – 6:00 pm) or Part-Time, Night Shift (6:00 pm – 6:00 am)
- Self-scheduling weekdays
- Three shifts per week
- Every third weekend rotation
- Every third holiday rotation
Pay
- $37.40 – $40.65 per hour (based on licensure length; wage pass-through included)
- Up to $5,000 Sign-On Bonus
