Registered Nurse (RN) - Ambulatory Care, Full-Time, Days

About the Role

This position involves providing and coordinating nursing care in ambulatory, medical office, or urgent care settings, ensuring adherence to professional standards, regulations, and organizational policies.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care based on individualized plans, addressing physical, emotional, cultural, and educational needs.
• Assess patients, develop care plans, and administer medications and treatments following protocols.
• Document patient care accurately, communicate with the healthcare team, and educate patients and families for self-care.
• Delegate tasks appropriately, adhere to infection control, and maintain a safe, clean environment.
• Participate in team education, meetings, and ongoing professional development; serve as a role model and mentor.
• Ensure compliance with policies and safety protocols; utilize resources efficiently.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Nursing (BSN preferred) or RN diploma with a valid multistate license.
• No prior experience required; current RN license recognized by NCSBN Compact State or applicable state license.
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and adherence to safety and regulatory standards.

Additional Information

Non-management role reporting to a supervisor or manager. Work primarily during daytime hours.

Location: Blount Memorial Hospital, department of Urology.
