Job Description

AdventHealth South Overland Park is hiring Registered Nurses across multiple specialties with NEW competitive rates and sign-on bonuses up to $20,000 for eligible roles.

  • Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans across physical, emotional, and social factors
  • Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care, including medications and treatments in alignment with physician orders and protocols
  • Monitor patient conditions, evaluate outcomes, and adjust care plans as needed
  • Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, and self-care for better health outcomes
  • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate effective patient care
  • Document patient care, interventions, and outcomes accurately and in a timely manner
  • Ensure compliance with safety, infection control, and regulatory standards
  • Provide compassionate, patient-centered support and therapeutic communication
  • Delegate and supervise care activities to support team efficiency and quality outcomes
  • Respond promptly and effectively in urgent or emergency situations
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and performance improvement initiatives

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Knowledge of nursing care methods and clinical procedures
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Effective communication and problem-solving skills
  • EKG competency (based on patient population; see requirements documentation)
  • Fluent in English (reading, writing, and verbal communication)
  • Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft-based programs
  • Ability to apply critical thinking and clinical judgment to assess patients and adjust care plans

Education

  • Associate's of Nursing [Required]
  • Bachelor's of Nursing [Preferred]

Work Experience

  • 1+ acute care hospital setting [Preferred]

Additional Information

  • Additional licensure or certification requirements may apply depending on unit or state
  • Licenses And Certifications:
