Travel Nurse RN - Med Surg - $2,620 per week

Job Summary

A nursing opportunity is available in a medical-surgical gynecology unit located in South Dakota. This role involves providing patient care on a MedSurg floor with a focus on Gynecology and Post Partum units, requiring flexibility to float between departments. The position supports a dynamic healthcare setting with a variety of clinical responsibilities and operational procedures.

Job Details

• Schedule: 36 hours per week - 12-hour shifts. Every other weekend and holiday. Three call shifts are required within a 13-week contract.

Required Qualifications

• 2 years of RN experience;
• certifications including BLS, ACLS, and NRP;
• willing to wait for license submission;
• able to function independently in the ER and MedSurg units with up to 5 patients;
• experience with MedSurg and OB nursing;
• proficiency with Sanford One Charge, Pixis, and EPIC computer system.

Preferred Qualifications

• TNCC certification;
• 6 months of MedSurg experience within the past year;
• 6 months of OB experience within the past year;
• willingness to work Post Partum as part of the MedSurg floor;
• OB and MedSurg training provided.

Additional Information

• Must badge in and out at the facility;
• wear navy scrubs with no logos (white can be worn under the uniform or white lab coat);
• involves working in a fast-paced environment with a nurse to patient ratio typically around 3 to 4:1 depending on census and acuity;
• includes EPIC charting and Ultrasonography equipment.

Pay Package

The pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
