Part Time/Nights (24 hours per week)
This is a Registered Nurse 2 vacancy open to RN candidates with greater than 1 year of experience.
For a limited time, MaineHealth is offering a $10,000 Sign on bonus for all eligible Registered Nurses with 0-2 years of RN experience and $20,000 for Registered Nurses with greater than 2 years of RN work experience!
Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a Full or Part time RN position. Bonus amount prorated for Part time hires, per diem hires are ineligible.

About the role

The 2 East Adult Psychiatric Unit is a 24-bed general adult psychiatric unit that services patients who experience acute psychiatric illnesses and any co-occurring disorders. Treatment emphasizes return-to-work strategies and cognitive therapies to help patients transition smoothly from the hospital to the community and in the shortest possible time.

Responsibilities

  • Assumes frontline leadership in the daily operations of the department
  • Works collaboratively with departmental staff, physicians/advanced practice practitioners, hospital staff, pre-hospital providers and community agencies
  • Provides oversight and direction for the delivery of safe patient and family centered care

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required; BSN preferred
  • CURRENT applicable state(s) license as a Registered Professional Nurse required
  • CURRENT BLS certification required or must complete within 30 days of start date
  • Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Certification RN-BC preferred
  • Two years of relevant experience preferred, experience in psychiatric nursing preferred
