REGISTERED NURSE (RN) (ADN or BSN) - Critical Care/Step Down Unit

Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for assigned patients.
- Supervise and delegate care and tasks to other personnel.
- Assess and manage patients with multisystem medical problems.
- Make decisions about changes in patient conditions and document accordingly.
- Coordinate care and communicate effectively with the healthcare team.
- Respond calmly to emergencies as needed.
Requirements
- Current license to practice as a registered nurse in the State of North Carolina.
- CPR certification or obtained within three months of employment.
- ACLS certification within twelve months of hire and maintain certification per hospital policy.
- ASLS certification within twelve months of hire.
- BSN preferred.
- One year experience in area applying for, or recent experience in Critical Care clinical environments as a registered nurse.
- Certification as Critical Care Registered Nurse preferred.
- PALS certification preferred.
Qualifications
Commensurate with experience.
Skills
Strong communication skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and proficiency in critical care nursing practices.
