Role Overview
Provides clinical leadership in an acute inpatient setting, ensuring patient/family-centered care through evidence-based nursing practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments, develop and update individualized care plans, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
- Set measurable goals, coordinate discharge planning, and ensure continuity of care.
- Deliver direct patient care within the scope of practice, delegate tasks appropriately, and monitor care quality.
- Maintain a safe environment, adhere to safety protocols, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards (TJC, CMS, DPH).
- Utilize performance indicators, participate in quality improvement initiatives, and document patient progress accurately.
- Assess educational needs, provide patient/family teaching, and communicate effectively across the healthcare team.
- Maintain professional licensure, complete mandatory education, and stay updated on best practices.
- Advocate for patients, serve as a care coordinator, and perform other assigned duties.
Qualifications & Skills
- Associate degree in Nursing (Bachelor's preferred) or diploma with RN licensure.
- Minimum of one year of RN experience or equivalent residency/experience.
- Current RN license recognized by NCSBN Compact or the state of practice.
- Strong clinical judgment, cultural sensitivity, and commitment to quality care.
