Role Overview

Provides clinical leadership in an acute inpatient setting, ensuring patient/family-centered care through evidence-based nursing practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments, develop and update individualized care plans, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
  • Set measurable goals, coordinate discharge planning, and ensure continuity of care.
  • Deliver direct patient care within the scope of practice, delegate tasks appropriately, and monitor care quality.
  • Maintain a safe environment, adhere to safety protocols, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards (TJC, CMS, DPH).
  • Utilize performance indicators, participate in quality improvement initiatives, and document patient progress accurately.
  • Assess educational needs, provide patient/family teaching, and communicate effectively across the healthcare team.
  • Maintain professional licensure, complete mandatory education, and stay updated on best practices.
  • Advocate for patients, serve as a care coordinator, and perform other assigned duties.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Associate degree in Nursing (Bachelor's preferred) or diploma with RN licensure.
  • Minimum of one year of RN experience or equivalent residency/experience.
  • Current RN license recognized by NCSBN Compact or the state of practice.
  • Strong clinical judgment, cultural sensitivity, and commitment to quality care.
