About the Role
Provides clinical leadership in an acute inpatient setting, ensuring patient/family-centered care through evidence-based nursing practices.
Responsibilities
- Conducts comprehensive patient assessments, develops and updates individualized care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and the healthcare team, and sets measurable discharge goals.
- Performs direct patient care within the nursing scope, delegates tasks appropriately, and monitors care quality.
- Ensures a safe environment, adheres to safety protocols, and participates in performance improvement activities.
- Educates patients and families, evaluating learning needs and providing clear instruction.
- Maintains accurate documentation, advocates for patients, and communicates effectively with the healthcare team.
- Evaluates and revises care plans based on patient responses and outcomes, incorporating quality improvement recommendations.
- Adheres to organizational policies, maintains licensure, and participates in ongoing education.
Requirements
- Associate degree in Nursing required; Bachelor’s preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year RN experience or completion of a recognized residency program. Alternative experience may include LPN years within the same service line or nursing diploma with licensure.
- Current RN license recognized by NCSBN Compact or in the state of practice.
- Knowledge of regulatory standards (TJC, SC DPH, CMS) and compliance policies.
Skills
- Strong clinical assessment, communication, and collaboration skills.
Schedule
This role may require work on weekends, holidays, or on-call as needed.
