Registered Nurse (RN) - Acute and Long Term Care, PRN, Varied Shifts

About the role

Provides clinical leadership in an acute inpatient setting, ensuring patient-centered care through evidence-based nursing practices.

Responsibilities

• Conducts comprehensive patient assessments and develops individualized care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare team members, updating plans based on patient condition.
• Delivers direct patient care within the scope of practice, appropriately delegating tasks and ensuring safety and quality standards are maintained.
• Monitors care quality, documents patient progress, evaluates outcomes, and revises care plans as needed.
• Identifies educational needs, provides patient and family teaching, and facilitates smooth discharge planning for continuity of care.
• Participates in performance improvement activities, audits, and implements quality improvement initiatives.
• Maintains compliance with regulatory requirements, organizational policies, and safety protocols, ensuring proper documentation and effective communication among team members.
• Serves as a patient advocate and collaborates with the healthcare team to coordinate care effectively.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Nursing; Bachelor’s preferred.
• Minimum of one year RN experience or equivalent through residency programs or LPN experience.
• Valid RN license recognized in the practice state.
• Strong knowledge of safety, regulatory standards, and evidence-based practices.
• Excellent communication, clinical judgment, and team collaboration skills.
