Location

Must be available to provide services in our Baxter and Wadena, MN territories.

Pay Range

  • $35.34 - $46.00 / hour (non-exempt), based on experience, qualifications, and location.
  • This position has guaranteed pay for 64 hours per pay period.

As a Registered Nurse (RN) with Hospice

What you'll do

  • Deliver Compassionate Clinical Care
  • Conduct skilled assessments and provide routine, PRN, admission, discharge, and death visits
  • Deliver hospice care that honors everyone’s physical, emotional, cultural, and spiritual needs
  • Partner with patients, families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members to develop and follow a comprehensive care plan
  • Educate families on what to expect, pain management, and comfort measures
  • Lead with Accountability
  • Prioritize calls and visits with urgency, and ensure documentation is completed accurately and promptly, often at the point of care
  • Actively Collaborate
  • Maintain strong communication with entire team: manager, physicians, social workers, aides, chaplains, and referral sources
  • Support The Whole Person
  • Provide clinical insight and emotional support to families before and after the patient’s death, participating in bereavement planning as needed

Job Requirements

  • Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Minnesota
  • Valid driver’s license and insured personal vehicle
  • CPR certification (or willingness to obtain within 6 months of hire)
  • Strong clinical assessment, documentation, and time-management skills
  • Willingness to travel to client homes and respond to patient needs during on-call hours
  • Ability to pass state mandated background checks
  • Physical capability to perform all essential job functions
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English to ensure effective communication with clients, staff, and families
