Registered Nurse - Resource Team

About the role

The registered nurse is responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patients’ status, plan of care, and goal achievement. Care is provided in a compassionate, professional, ethical, and knowledgeable fashion based on the Caring Model, exemplifies the mission, vision and values of Rush Copley, and follows all policies and procedures. The RN must uphold the highest ethical and safety standards, prioritize patient care, collaborate closely with the multidisciplinary team, and recognize personal limitations, seeking advice and support when needed.

Requirements

• License: Current Illinois Registered Nurse license required.
• Education: Associate’s Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred. For hires or transfers on/after 8/1/2013, a BSN must be attained within 5 years of hire/transfer date.
• Certifications:
  • CPR required
  • ACLS required
  • NIHSS Certification within 3 months of hire
  • Completion of Telemetry monitoring course at time of hire, or within first three months of employment
  • Certification in Medical‑Surgical Nursing, PCCN, or other nursing specialty desirable
• Experience: 1–2 years of acute nursing experience preferred.
• Special Skills: Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team, strong ethical judgment, and commitment to patient‑centered care.
