About the role

The Hospital of Central CT is an acute-care community teaching hospital providing comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services in general medicine and surgery, as well as a wide variety of specialties. Responsibilities

  • Develops a plan of care, which includes standards of practice to meet the physical, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and educational needs of the patient and family.
  • Works towards caring for a full patient assignment with expanding scope of responsibilities over time.
  • Applies the principles and practices of nursing.
  • Develops and delivers patient care, working as part of a collaborative team.
  • Manages and organizes multiple clinical priorities.
  • Uses communication skills to foster a healthy work environment and facilitate positive patient outcomes and experience.
  • Applies knowledge of care for age-specific populations.

Requirements

  • Completion of a formal Nursing program.
  • Registered Nurse, State of CT license.
  • Certified BLS Provider credential from the American Heart Association (AHA).

Qualifications

  • Basic knowledge of high reliability.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Self-directed in clinical responsibilities.
  • Proficiency in basic computer skills and use of industry applications/programs.
  • Ability to learn new technology and programs as advancements and changes are implemented.

Skills

  • Knowledge of care for age-specific populations.
  • Ability to work as part of a collaborative team.
