Registered Nurse Resident - Acute Care, Medical/Surgical, Full-Time, Night
Role Summary
Provides clinical leadership in an acute inpatient setting, ensuring patient/family-centered care through evidence-based nursing practices. Demonstrates clinical competency across assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, and outcomes, integrating safety, cost containment, and quality improvement principles. Adheres to organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and scope of practice, including licensure and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities

Conducts patient assessments, identifies care priorities, and develops individualized care plans collaboratively with patients and the interdisciplinary team.

Updates care plans based on patient status changes and communicates effectively with team members.

Provides direct patient care aligned with the nursing plan and delegates tasks appropriately.

Maintains professional competency, adheres to documentation standards, and advocates for patients.

Mainters care quality, ensures patient safety, and utilizes performance indicators for continuous improvement.

Evaluates patient response to interventions, revises plans as needed, and documents progress.

Educates patients and families, assessing learning needs and promoting participation.
Qualifications & Skills

Associate degree in Nursing; Bachelor’s preferred.

One year of RN experience or equivalent through residency programs or LPN experience.

Current RN license recognized in the state of practice.

Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills.
