Registered Nurse - Progressive Care Unit (PCU) - Nights

Position: Registered Nurse – Progressive Care Unit Role Overview: Provide comprehensive nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Maintain clinical competency, promote safety, and ensure thorough documentation. Supervise and guide nursing staff, contribute to professional development, and adapt to varying clinical situations. Qualifications & Skills Graduate from an accredited nursing schoolCurrent Illinois Nursing licensureEffective communication and leadership abilitiesPreferred experience: 1+ year as staff nurse, cardiac telemetry, or critical careCertifications: AHA CPR; ACLS (within 3 months); NIHSS (within 1 month); PALS/NRP may be required Key Duties: Assess patient needs, implement evidence-based practices, promote safety, supervise staff, and ensure timely documentation. Flexibility to float to other units as needed and participate in emergency response.
