Registered Nurse - Progressive Care Unit (PCU) - Nights

Position: Registered Nurse – Progressive Care Unit Location: Chicago, IL Hours: Night shifts; every other weekend and rotating holidays; may float to other inpatient units as needed. Responsibilities: Assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care using the nursing process.Maintain competency aligned with current standards and contribute to team development.Incorporate ethical practices and evidence-based research into patient care.Recognize and adapt to varied clinical situations, promote safety, and supervise staff.Ensure thorough and timely documentation, maintain a safe environment, and respond effectively to emergencies.Perform additional duties as assigned to support patient and unit needs. Qualifications & Skills: At least one year of nursing experience preferred, especially in cardiac telemetry or critical care.Graduate from an accredited nursing program with mastery of nursing skills.Current Illinois Nursing license, CPR, ACLS (required within 3 months), NIHSS (within 1 month), and PALS/NRP (if applicable).Effective communicator with supervisory abilities.
