Registered Nurse - Progressive Care Unit

This position is for a registered nurse (RN) responsible for coordinating patient care, providing education, and supporting transitions of care. All new graduate nurses with less than 12 months of experience are automatically enrolled in the Nurse Residency Program, with comprehensive orientation provided to all new hires.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care and support professional nursing practices across various settings.
• Plan, implement, evaluate, and communicate all phases of nursing care within the Mayo Nursing Care Model.
• Provide leadership through precepting, informal roles, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Delegate patient care based on skill level, acuity, and resource availability.
• Exhibit excellent communication, mentoring, and teaching skills; participate in committees or projects.

Requirements

• Recent graduate or student of a registered nursing program.
• Current RN license in Minnesota and BLS certification from AHA or Red Cross.
• Preferred: One year of RN or LPN experience at Mayo Clinic.
• Strong communication, mentoring, and leadership abilities.

This role is eligible for TN sponsorship, requiring licensure and certification.

Pay

$40.19 to $61.18 per hour

• Full-time hours
• Rotating shifts
• Every 3rd weekend work
