Registered Nurse - Progressive Care Unit

About the role

Provides direct medical-surgical nursing care following organizational policies and protocols.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes nursing standards to enhance patient care and quality of life.
• Develops individualized care plans, conducts assessments, and implements interventions based on physical, cultural, social, and emotional factors.
• Coordinates with patients, families, and healthcare teams to assess needs, set goals, and evaluate outcomes.
• Communicates effectively, educates patients on health measures, and fosters a positive work environment by mentoring colleagues.
• Applies evidence-based practices tailored to patient age and clinical needs, ensuring safety and compliance.
• Performs point-of-care testing and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Valid RN licensure and current BLS certification for the respective state.
• Physical stamina for standing, walking, lifting, and other movements.
