About the Role
Provides nursing care with a focus on vascular access, including assessing, diagnosing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care. Supports patient needs, collaborates with interdisciplinary teams, and manages vascular access devices using equipment like ultrasound and infusion pumps.
Responsibilities
- Supports patient care and addresses patient/family needs.
- Performs IV insertions, assessments, and manages peripheral and central lines.
- Utilizes electronic health records and equipment to deliver safe, effective care.
- Adheres to professional standards, policies, and ethical guidelines.
- Communicates patient conditions effectively and responds to changes.
- Works in a safe, alert manner and performs additional duties as required.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Minimum of two years RN experience.
- Familiarity with Sherlock system preferred.
- Valid RN license and BLS certification in the relevant state(s).
- Physical ability to perform clinical duties, including lifting and movement.
