About the role
Provides specialized nursing care in vascular access, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, and implementation for all assigned patients.
Responsibilities
- Supports patient care and collaborates with interprofessional teams.
- Individualizes care plans for patients.
- Performs intravenous insertions, including peripheral and central lines.
- Utilizes equipment such as ultrasound and infusion pumps.
- Monitors and documents patient condition.
- Interprets policies and lab results.
- Communicates effectively with patients and healthcare teams.
- Ensures safety and adheres to professional nursing standards and ethics.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- At least two years of RN experience.
- Valid BLS and RN licenses for relevant states.
- Certifications for vascular access procedures.
- Familiarity with Sherlock system preferred.
Physical & Skills Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift for prolonged periods.
- Manual dexterity for procedures.
- Strong communication and observation skills.
Schedule
Day shift, PRN as needed.
