Registered Nurse - Procedural Nurse

Job Summary

Essential Functions

• Aids physicians during procedures.
• Performs patient assessment and monitoring for pre-procedures with documentation.
• Assists during procedures.
• Provides post-clinical patient care and reevaluations as per specific procedure, including documentation and discharge instructions.
• Coordinates with other members of the healthcare team to deliver care for assigned patients.
• Schedules interventional procedures according to PMD orders.
• Conducts patient education before tests and follows up as necessary.
• Provides post-clinical patient reevaluations as per specific procedure.
• Acts as a resource person to other healthcare personnel on radiology patient care issues.
• Floats to other procedural areas in the hospital, including Interventional Radiology, Post Anesthesia Care Unit, Same Day Surgery, and/or Endoscopy.

Other Duties

• Willingness to work holidays, weekends, and provide additional coverage as needed.

Minimum Education/Certifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current Registered Nurse license to practice in the state of NJ.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association required.

Minimum Work Experience

• One year of Radiology experience preferred.
