Registered Nurse - Procedural GI - PRN

About the Role

This nursing position involves providing professional nursing care through independent and delegated medical functions, focusing on health promotion, disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and supportive care. The nurse builds strong relationships with patients, actively understanding their needs and responding effectively.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and emergency policies, demonstrating effective clinical practices and patient safety measures.
• Evaluate patient health status by collecting and analyzing subjective and objective data, prioritizing needs, and developing care plans.
• Triage patients in person or via telephone, initiating appropriate interventions and follow-ups.
• Handle emergency situations with proper nursing responses.
• Provide health education and counseling to patients and families.
• Execute delegated medical functions, including medication administration and IV therapy, consistent with legal and organizational guidelines.
• Coordinate care across healthcare services, manage patient populations for resource utilization, and support team collaboration.
• Act as a patient advocate, ensuring comprehensive and compassionate care.

Requirements

• Minimum one year of RN experience.
• Graduation from an approved RN program with clinical experience under supervision.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid RN license.
• Strong customer service skills and understanding of patient needs.

Preferred Qualifications

• NPI and Taxonomy code.
• BLS certification.
