Registered Nurse - PRN, On Call

Job Summary We are seeking a professional Registered Nurse (RN) to provide comprehensive patient care, including health promotion, supportive, restorative, and disease prevention services. The role involves assessing health data, prioritizing patient needs, triaging in person or via phone, and initiating appropriate nursing interventions. The nurse will administer medications, including intravenous therapies, and execute delegated medical functions under physician guidance, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. They will coordinate care, advocate for patients, and facilitate communication within the healthcare team to optimize outcomes. Building rapport with patients and understanding their circumstances is essential to delivering personalized care. Qualifications And Skills Minimum one year of RN experience, with recent oncology background preferred.Graduate of an approved RN program with supervised clinical experience.Current Registered Nurse license and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.Strong communication, critical thinking, and customer service skills.Ability to work independently and within a team, with excellent IV skills.Preferred: NPI, Taxonomy code, and ONS bio/chemo certification. Key Responsibilities Adhere to safety, quality, and emergency protocols, ensuring patient safety in medication administration and procedures.Collect and evaluate health data to identify issues and develop care plans.Triages patients, evaluates emergencies, and executes appropriate interventions.Provide health education and counseling to patients and families.Administer and monitor therapies, referring patients to additional resources when necessary.Coordinate care across services, manage patient populations, and support healthcare teams.Act as a patient advocate, promoting effective and compassionate care.
