About the Role
Provide professional, technical nursing care to patients in a full-service hospital setting.
Responsibilities
- Utilize the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) to deliver direct and indirect patient care.
- Create a safe, therapeutic environment for patients.
- Communicate effectively with healthcare team members, patients, and families.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient care.
- Administer medications and IV therapies safely and promptly.
- Promote teamwork, education, and professional growth among staff.
- Adhere to hospital standards and support organizational values.
- Educate patients and families on care plans and health maintenance.
- Maintain safety protocols and foster collaboration across departments.
- Fulfill additional duties as assigned.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited nursing school.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Valid nursing license in Texas or eligibility for licensure.
- Minimum of 1 year of Labor & Delivery RN experience.
