Registered Nurse - PRN

About the role

The Long Term Care (LTC) Registered Nurse (RN) provides individualized nursing care to residents using the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The RN collaborates with residents, families, and interdisciplinary teams to develop, implement, and evaluate care plans, ensuring comprehensive care across preventive, health‑maintenance, diagnostic, and treatment phases.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized nursing care to residents, following the full nursing process.
• Collaborate with residents, families, and interdisciplinary teams to develop, implement, and evaluate care plans.
• Coordinate resident assessments, education, and nursing interventions.
• Act as charge nurse when needed, delegating tasks to licensed and unlicensed personnel.
• Ensure safe and effective resident care within professional standards.
• Practice within the scope of nursing licensure, adhering to the Nurse Practice Act, ANA standards, and ethical guidelines.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Valid, unencumbered RN license; multistate licensure if applicable.
• Maintains required competencies and certifications.
