Registered Nurse - PRN

About the Role

A registered nurse practicing independently in a clinical setting, providing both routine and complex patient care, while demonstrating awareness of all relevant clinical aspects.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process for assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation of assigned patients.
• Address psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
• Administer medications and treatments per protocol, monitoring for side-effects and effectiveness.
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided.
• Assess learning needs and educate patients, families, and caregivers, identifying issues and resources.
• Delegate tasks appropriately to care team members to manage clinical situations effectively.
• Meet competency standards, including orientation, ongoing training, and certification requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in a related nursing specialty is preferred.
• Current RN license in the state of employment or a compact license.
• Mandatory certifications include BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC.
• Ability to attend orientation and complete annual competency validations.
