Position Summary

Onsite Innovations has a need for an experienced and passionate Registered Nurse (RN) at their client's site in Byhalia, MS, in a PRN (as-needed) role. This position offers an opportunity to work at a dynamic worksite and make an impact on employee health, wellness, and safety.

About the Role

This position provides occupational health services including injury assessment, first aid care, accurate medical documentation, vaccination review and administration. It also collaborates with onsite leadership and medical director to provide complete care and support safe return to work practices. The nurse also performs urine drug screens, serves as a health and wellness resource to employees, assists in medical record maintenance, and performs various administrative duties.

Responsibilities

  • Assists practitioners with patient care, physical examinations, ancillary tests, and performs a variety of administrative duties.
  • Provides occupational health services including injury assessment, first aid care, accurate medical documentation, vaccination review and administration.
  • Collaborates with onsite leadership and medical director to provide complete care and support safe return to work practices.
  • Performs urine drug screens, using proper chain of custody; ensures preparation for pick-up and shipment to appropriate laboratory.
  • Maintains exam rooms, lab area and treatment rooms clean and stocked, maintaining inventory of supplies and re-orders as needed.
  • Serves as a health and wellness resource to employees.
  • Aids in medical record maintenance by keeping health, administrative, and program records onsite, safeguarding confidentiality of employee health information.
  • Serves as a front office clerk, answering telephones, check-in, check-out and record processing.
  • Dispenses medications as directed by practitioner and in accordance with state regulations.
  • Maintains and operates all clinical equipment, including calibration and record keeping in accordance with current policy and procedures.
  • Performs ancillary testing and tasks as ordered by the Center Medical Director (PFT, EKG, injections, audiograms, blood draws) in accordance with established policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Education Level: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university or Graduate of an accredited Registered nursing program.
  • Certifications and/or Licenses: Current registration/license in the state where employed.
  • Successful completion of UDS, BAT, PFT, FIT, certification.

  • Demonstrated working knowledge of clinical operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to train medical assistants under the direction of the Center Medical Director.
  • Demonstrated excellent communication skills.
  • Demonstrated willingness to participate in Continuing Medical Education.
