Registered Nurse - PRN

About the Role

A registered nurse practicing independently in a clinical setting, providing routine and complex patient care while managing long-term goals and contingencies. Responsible for assessing, diagnosing, planning, intervening, and evaluating patient care based on the nursing process.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments, monitor for side-effects, and document patient information.
• Address psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, families, and caregivers.
• Make appropriate assignments and delegate tasks to care providers to manage clinical situations effectively.

Requirements

• Current RN license and BLS certification required.
• Additional certifications such as ACLS, PALS, and TNCC are required within specified timeframes.
• Must meet credentialing deadlines, participate in orientation and residency programs if applicable, and maintain annual competency certifications.
• All newly hired RNs must complete orientation, precepted training, and competency validations.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
• 1+ year experience in a related nursing specialty is preferred.

Schedule

The role involves working night shifts, from 7PM to 7AM, on a per diem basis.
