Registered Nurse PRN

About the role

Ambicare Hospice is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse PRN to join a newly restructured team in Belen, NM. This role offers flexibility in scheduling, competitive pay, and the opportunity to support patients and families during their most challenging times.

Responsibilities

• Assume primary responsibility for patient and family caseload, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation phases of the nursing process.
• Obtain data and assess necessary information from patient physical, psychological, social, and spiritual factors, initiating intervention by other members of the interdisciplinary team.
• Communicate with the attending physician, interdisciplinary team, and other agencies to coordinate optimal care.
• Provide regular visits to reassess patient needs and update the plan of care.
• Perform clinical pronouncement of death and provide support to the family.
• Maintain accurate patient records, charts, progress notes, reports, and care plans timely.
• Supervise and document delivery of care by the Home Health Aide as required by Federal, State, and Company guidelines.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited registered nursing program.
• Licensed as a registered nurse in the state of practice.
• Possess current CPR, First Aid Certification.
• Be knowledgeable of quality assessment and assurance procedures.
• Have a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance.
