Registered Nurse - Pre-Op/ Recovery - F/T Evenings

About the role

The Registered Nurse at Hackensack Meridian Health is responsible for delivering safe and excellent individualized patient care. They assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, ensuring coordination with the interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Collects and analyzes comprehensive patient data for assessment and planning.
• Develops and executes a plan of care that addresses patient needs and outcomes.
• Communicates with patients and families, other healthcare providers, and support staff to coordinate care.
• Administers medications accurately using advanced technologies.
• Coordinates patient discharge to ensure safe transitions and continuity of care.
• Evaluates patient progress and adjusts care plans accordingly.
• Adapts to changing patient conditions and responds to ethical issues.
• Learns and maintains competencies and certifications to meet professional standards.
• Performs physical tasks such as lifting and standing as required.

Qualifications

• A minimum of an associate's degree in Nursing or a diploma in Nursing.
• BSN in progress and willing to obtain within three years of hire.
• A current and valid Registered Nurse license at the assigned HMH location by date of hire.
• BLS/CPR certification by American Heart Association within 60 days of hire.
• Six or more months of relevant nursing experience, or participation in the Nurse Residency Program.
• The ability to learn quickly, adapt to patient needs, and demonstrate strong teamwork and patient focus.
• National certification in area of specialty preferred.
