Registered Nurse - Pre Op PACU

About the Role

The Pre Op-PACU Registered Nurse provides immediate post-operative care for surgical patients, managing airway support, monitoring neurological and cardiac status, and responding to complications. They oversee patient stability during recovery, deliver initial wound care, and collaborate with surgical and anesthesia teams. The role involves directing pre-surgical patient care, leading multidisciplinary teams, and supervising assistive personnel to ensure culturally and age-appropriate care.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate care for pre-surgical patients
• Serve as the primary nurse in the Pre Op-PACU setting
• Oversee and direct assistive staff
• Perform competency-based duties, including floating to other areas if needed

Requirements

• Current RN licensure
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• Graduate from an accredited nursing program (BSN preferred)
• Minimum of one year of acute care experience
