Registered Nurse Pre Op PACU

About the role

The RN Pre-op/PACU is a Registered Nurse that provides quality patient care using the nursing process, the medical plan of care, and organizational policies. The role supports the mission, vision, and values of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Provides safe, effective, and quality patient-family-centered care in the perioperative services for all patient populations.
• Serves as a member of the perioperative team, working closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and other ancillary staff.
• Supports the mission, vision, and values of the organization.

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Nurse with an unrestricted license in the state.
• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Must have at least 1-3 years' previous experience in PreOP/PACU.
• Previous experience in an ambulatory surgical center strongly preferred.
• Must have current BLS certification.
• Must possess a strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient.
• Must have a strong understanding of aseptic techniques and their implementation.
