Registered Nurse Practice Specialist ED

About the Role

Lead evidence-based nursing practices in an emergency department setting to enhance patient outcomes and safety. Collaborate with clinical leaders to identify quality gaps, analyze data for improvement opportunities, and implement solutions. Mentor and coach caregivers through hands-on rounding and team collaboration, fostering clinical confidence. Develop and execute practice guidelines and improvement initiatives to elevate care delivery at the unit or division level.

Responsibilities

• Apply evidence-based practices to ensure safe, consistent, and high-quality patient care
• Partner with clinical leaders to address safety and quality gaps
• Analyze patient safety data to identify trends and drive improvements
• Mentor caregivers, build clinical team confidence, and promote best practices
• Develop and implement practice guidelines and quality improvement initiatives

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) credential from the Tennessee Board of Nursing
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited institution
• Current BLS provider certification (American Red Cross or American Heart Association)
• Minimum of 2 years relevant nursing experience; 5 years preferred
