Registered Nurse - Postpartum/Nursery - PRN Nights

About the role

Provides high-quality obstetric, neonatal, and gynecologic nursing care in a holistic environment focused on patient needs, emotional support, and education to promote well-being.

Requirements

• Licensed by the State of Tennessee and holds a nursing diploma or degree.
• Certification in BLS and NRP within 90 days of hire; STABLE certification or willingness to obtain within six months.
• Preferred at least one year of perinatal experience; ACLS/ALS preferred.
• Able to work on call within one hour; physically capable of standing for 12 hours, pushing/pulling up to 175 lbs, and lifting up to 250 lbs with assistance.

Qualifications

• Proficient in perinatal healthcare, use of standard equipment, and effective communication in English.
• Performs comprehensive patient assessments, develops individualized care plans, and provides patient education and discharge planning.
• Performs treatments and procedures independently, documents accurately, and reassesses patient conditions regularly.
• Accepts charge responsibilities, supervises staff, and maintains a safe, healing environment.
• Maintains professional appearance, attends mandatory training, and fulfills unit duties and special assignments.
