Responsibilities
- Coordination and evaluation of care
- Teaching and delegation of patient activities to the other health care team members
- Therapeutic use of self
- Implementation and evaluation of the continuum plan of care in collaboration with other members of the multi-disciplinary team
- Active support and participation in Shared Governance
- Promotion of the organizational commitment to customer service
Requirements
- Education: Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing or equivalent
- Licensure / Certification: Current licensure to practice nursing in the State of Michigan. Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification is required for all RN Care Managers working in ER, ICU, CCU, PACU, Cardiac Med/Surg, Labor & Delivery, Endoscopy, Cath Lab, Special Procedures, Radiology and the Ambulatory Surgery Center. Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification is required.
- C Special Skill / Aptitudes: Excellent customer service orientation skills necessary in order to deal effectively with various levels of hospital personnel, outside customers and community groups.
- Experience: Prior RN experience is preferred.
About the Role
As the Registered Nurse, you will be accountable for the management of patient care during a designated timeframe. You will coordinate and evaluate the care provided, teach and delegate patient activities to other health care team members, and promote the organizational commitment to customer service. You will also assume a leadership role in providing professional nursing care to patients within Trinity Oakland Hospital, participate in Shared Governance, and support the multi-disciplinary team in implementing and evaluating the continuum plan of care.
