Registered Nurse - Post Surgical / Medical Surgical

Position Overview: Provides direct nursing care in a 24-bed post-operative bariatric unit specializing in weight loss surgeries such as gastric bypass and sleeve gastrectomy. Responsible for implementing and monitoring patient care plans, coordinating multidisciplinary care, executing physician and nursing orders, and managing discharge planning. Key Responsibilities: Ensure patient safety and well-being through proper assessment, documentation, and communication. Serve as the primary coordinator among healthcare team members to deliver coordinated care and facilitate smooth patient transitions. Qualifications: Valid RN licensure or eligibility in Alabama and BLS certification within 30 days of hire. Education includes a diploma from an accredited nursing school.
