Registered Nurse – Perioperative Nurse - Operating Room - Travel - (OR RN)

About the role

Ashville, known for its thriving arts community and natural beauty, is located in western North Carolina along the Blue Mountains. This 700+ bed Level 1 Trauma center seeks a Registered Nurse, OR (Operating Room) to join their team.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the operating room environment
• Assist with preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative care
• Participate in the care of patients undergoing orthopedic, neurosurgical, vascular, and trauma procedures
• Ensure compliance with infection control protocols
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse license in good standing
• Experience in an OR setting preferred, 2 years minimum
• ACLS certification required
• BLS certification required
• SSN required
• DOB required
• No more than 90 days of gap in work history in the last year
• Proficient with all areas of orthopedic, neurosurgical, and vascular procedures, and trauma experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Broad surgical knowledge
• Experience in service lines including general, gynecology, robotics, plastic surgery, urology, and burns
