Registered Nurse – Perioperative Nurse - Operating Room - Travel - (OR RN)

About the role

Travel RN-OR position at Haywood Regional Medical Center in Clyde, NC. Work in a dynamic surgical environment with specialties including ear, nose and throat, eye, gynecologic, orthopedic, pain management, plastic and reconstructive, and gastroenterological procedures. The operating room features six beds and handles an average of 400 cases per month, primarily general and orthopedic. Surgical operations run Monday through Friday, with night, weekend, and holiday call rotations for continuous coverage.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the perioperative setting
• Perform patient assessments
• Develop and implement care plans
• Engage in decision-making and continuous quality improvement
• Handle patient charting accurately
• Participate in call rotations for nights, weekends, and holidays

Requirements

• Active RN license (Compact Accepted)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Experience in mid-level surgery
• Skills in care plan development, decision-making, and continuous quality improvement
• Associate’s degree in Nursing
• Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) eligibility
• ACLS certification (preferred)
• 2 years of experience in the specialty (preferred)
• Travel experience (preferred)
• License in hand at time of application

Pay

$2090.00 - $2198.00 per shift (10 D shift)

Schedule

• Surgical operations: Monday through Friday
• Call rotations for nights, weekends, and holidays
