REGISTERED NURSE - PERI-ANESTHESIA

About the Role

To assess, plan, and implement nursing care to meet patients’ needs by following the appropriate policies and procedures of the assigned department.

Requirements

• Completion of a Diploma Nursing Program or an Associate Degree in Nursing (AA) or higher
• Unexpired state licensure from Maryland Board of Nursing or compact state board of nursing
• Registered Nurse Certification in specialty (preferred)
• 1-2 years of related experience

Responsibilities

• Maintains unit-specific and hospital competencies, mandatory learning, and any clinical certifications required in accordance with the Staff Education and Training policy GA-057 and/or any other department requirements
• Demonstrates proficiency in computer skills necessary to effectively complete position requirements, including Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Access, Word, Outlook)
• Communicates professionally with internal and external customers, both verbally and in writing, while promoting a positive work atmosphere
• Works independently, prioritizes concurrent projects, meets deadlines, follows through with deliverables, and produces quality work
• Implements organization-wide communication techniques as a daily practice to effectively communicate with all patient populations and staff
• Advocates for quality patient safety and satisfaction as a daily practice
