Registered Nurse - Per Diem - Labor and Delivery

About the role

Inpatient Registered Nurse (RN) responsible for providing compassionate, patient-centered care in a clinical setting. The role emphasizes collaboration, continuous learning, and adherence to organizational policies to deliver high-quality care in a supportive environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform assessments, develop, coordinate, and implement individualized care plans based on scope of practice and unit standards.
• Address physical, psychological, social, cultural, and spiritual needs of patients and families throughout hospitalization.
• Administer treatments, medications, and diagnostic tests according to policies and procedures.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of nursing interventions, adjusting plans as needed.
• Collaborate proactively with physicians, ancillary staff, and interdisciplinary team members to resolve patient needs.
• Manage equipment, troubleshoot issues, and participate in evidence-based practice decision-making.
• Contribute to unit and organizational quality, safety, and patient satisfaction initiatives.
• Promote adaptive responses and ensure a safe, compassionate environment for patients and families.

Qualifications & Skills

• Graduate from a Specialty Training Program in Nursing (required)
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (preferred)
• Ability to perform comprehensive assessments and coordinate patient care.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
• Commitment to safety, quality improvement, and patient satisfaction.

Schedule

Work involves night shifts (7p-7:30a).
