Registered Nurse - Per Diem - Evening Shift

About the role

Per Diem Registered Nurse Med/Surg providing safe, compassionate care on med/surg units, utilizing the nursing process, guiding unlicensed staff, and collaborating with healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Deliver independent, effective nursing care for patients
• Plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans
• Supervise and direct unlicensed assistive personnel
• Communicate and collaborate with healthcare team members
• Contribute to patient safety and high-quality experiences

Qualifications & Skills

• Current RN license in Illinois
• Graduate of NLN-accredited nursing school; BSN preferred
• BLS certification; NIHSS certification maintained
• Minimum two years recent acute care med/surg experience, telemetry competence required within 14 days
• Preferred: Medical-surgical experience
