About the role
The Registered Nurse in this role will be in the Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Clinic and Infusion Center at Riley Children’s Hospital.
Responsibilities
- Engage in decision-making, teaching, mentoring, and collaboration with the multidisciplinary team to advance the patient plan of care, achieve outcomes and enhance operational efficiency.
- Work directly with oncology-trained pharmacists on site infusion area.
- Encourage nurse-led governance councils.
- Potential to move into a leadership position.
Requirements
- Requires Associates of Nursing (ASN); Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Requires current state of Indiana license as Registered Nurse.
- Graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.
- Candidates who have not graduated from a nationally accredited program may be considered if they possess more than two years of acute care experience.
- Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
- Other Advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
Qualifications

- Critical thinking in a fast-paced environment.
- Ambulatory experience.
- Infusion experience.
- Nursing skills such as Central Line access and maintenance care, PIVs, chemotherapy, immunotherapy, blood product, and medication administration.
- Training on hypersensitivity reaction.
- Patient advocacy.
- Flexibility and adaptability.
