About the role
The Shift: Full time day shift position working Monday through Friday. Work schedule is 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Responsibilities
- Functions independently and accountable for utilizing the nursing process.
- Captivates the care for a group of patients with the Multidisciplinary Team.
- Delegates tasks appropriately.
- Identifies hospital resources.
- Serves as a clinical resource for new employees.
- Demonstrates positive formal or informal leadership within unit or department.
- Schedules emergent-need appointments.
- Provides patient education on particular procedures and processes.
- Is subject matter expert in respective specialty for hospital RNs in the units.
- Regularly meets with other disciplines to share best practices on care treatments.
- Work generally performed within a specialty clinic setting.
- Oncology or infusion experience preferred.
- Great opportunity to learn and grow within a busy oncology clinic.
- Works alongside 7 other oncology infusion nurses, APPs, MDs, medical assistants, clinic nurses, and onsite pharmacy.
- Ideal candidate will have strong IV skills, good time management, and be able to thrive in an ever ever changing environment in a busy infusion center.
- Occasional weekend and holiday coverage.
- Oncology or infusion experience preferred.
- Chemotherapy/Biotherapy certification required but can be obtained after hire.
Requirements
- Applicable Experience: 1 year ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate - Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation, Registered Nurse (MO) - National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NURSYS)
