Registered Nurse - Pediatrics

Summary

Captures patient care planning with other disciplines using the nursing process and critical thinking to ensure patient safety and well-being.

Essential Functions

• Directs patient care, evaluates outcomes, consults with specialists as needed, and adjusts care processes to optimize patient care.
• Reviews and completes rounds, notifies physicians of unusual events, and collaborates with interdisciplinary teams.
• Provides patient education, manages IV lines, ensures sterile techniques, and administers pharmacological vasodilator medications for nuclear myocardial perfusion imaging.
• Evaluates patient care, identifies and resolves workplace health and safety issues, and adheres to policies and standards.
• Orients, instructs, and educates assigned personnel, and demonstrates TMCH values of integrity, community, compassion, and dedication.

Minimum Qualifications

• Graduation from a nationally-accredited nursing program.
• One year of nursing experience in an acute care setting preferred.
• Two years of EP experience or demonstrated competency in EP Lab procedures for EP positions.
• Current RN licensure and BLS certification required.
• Advanced life support certifications (ACLS and PALS) may be required for some specialties.
• Valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card and CPI for certain areas.
