Registered Nurse - Pediatric Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)

About the role

Seeking a registered nurse to lead and coordinate patient care in post-anesthesia settings, ensuring individualized treatment based on comprehensive assessments.

Responsibilities

• Performing thorough admission assessments and developing personalized care plans.
• Providing age-specific physical, psychological, and social care, while managing routine and emergency situations.
• Administering medications and treatments per protocols, and communicating patient status to the care team.
• Monitoring progress, educating patients and families, and ensuring safe discharge planning.
• Delegating tasks, supervising team members, and maintaining accountability for care quality.
• Applying evidence-based practices, adhering to professional nursing standards, and demonstrating professionalism and safety.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program or equivalent.
• Current RN license in the respective state.
• Certifications such as BLS and ALS, PALS or NRP depending on location.
• Physical ability to perform tasks involving standing, lifting, and communication.

Skills

• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to prioritize and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of nursing protocols, medication administration, and patient safety standards.
