Registered Nurse - Pediatric Intensive Care Unit - Nights

About the Role

Provide specialized nursing care in a 16-bed Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) with a focus on family-centered care. Responsibilities include delivering high-quality patient care, collaborating with healthcare teams, and supporting families during critical situations.

Responsibilities

• Administer and monitor patient treatments and medications
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for patient care planning
• Provide family education and emotional support
• Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with healthcare standards
• Ensure patient safety and adherence to clinical standards

Requirements

• Valid Illinois RN license
• Associate Degree or higher in Nursing; Bachelor’s preferred or required within five years if only an Associate Degree
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• Pediatric Life Support (PALS) certification within three months of employment
• Preferred: 2+ years of PICU pediatric experience
