Role Overview
Provide specialized nursing care in a 16-bed Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) with a focus on family-centered care.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality patient care in a family-centered environment.
- Collaborate with healthcare team to develop and implement patient treatment plans.
- Ensure safety and comfort of pediatric patients requiring intensive care.
- Adhere to clinical protocols and maintain accurate documentation.
Qualifications and Skills
- Illinois RN license and at least an Associate Degree in Nursing (Bachelor's required within five years if only Associate).
- Current BLS certification; PALS certification within three months of start date.
- Preferred: 2+ years of PICU pediatric experience.
Key Duties
- Provide compassionate, family-centered nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients.
- Participate in weekend and holiday rotations, primarily night shifts (7pm-7:30am).
- Maintain compliance with clinical standards and safety protocols.
