About the role

We are seeking a Nurse Manager to lead our Pediatric & Adolescent Women’s Health department. The role involves developing and implementing policies to ensure safe, comprehensive, and high-quality nursing services, fostering a collaborative environment, and promoting clinical excellence and patient satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement policies to ensure safe, comprehensive, and high-quality nursing services
  • Foster a collaborative environment that promotes clinical excellence and patient satisfaction
  • Lead and manage clinical teams effectively
  • Coach and mentor staff members
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes
  • Elevate patient care standards through innovative approaches

Requirements

  • Valid State of Connecticut Registered Nurse license and CPR certification (or eligibility to obtain within 90 days)
  • Associate’s degree in Nursing (Bachelor’s degree preferred)
  • Minimum of 7 years of clinical nursing experience in acute or outpatient settings
  • At least 2 years of supervisory experience, demonstrating leadership and mentorship skills
  • Proven ability to develop, coach, and manage clinical teams effectively
  • Strong knowledge of medication effects, infection control, and population health concepts within a PCMH model
  • Excellent communication skills in English; proficiency in Spanish or additional languages is a plus
  • Competence in Microsoft Office Suite to facilitate documentation and reporting

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or higher
  • Extensive experience in a supervisory role within outpatient or acute care settings
  • Demonstrated strategic thinking and analytical abilities

Skills

  • Bilingual proficiency, particularly in Spanish or other languages
  • Experience working with socioeconomically diverse and multiethnic populations
  • Familiarity with electronic health records, nurse documentation standards, and quality improvement initiatives

Pay

Salary range: $85,000 - $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience.

Schedule

Full-time position, Monday through Friday, with occasional evening and weekend work as needed.
